A New Digidestined? "So this is Termina," Ranma said, adjusting the straps on his backpack. "Nice place." "Kinda looks familiar, doesn't it," Misty said, nudging Ash to jolt his memory. "It's the same place we got our weapons," Pikachu said from atop Ash's head. "The docks are this way." As they passed a flower seller, a young blonde man suddenly came out of nowhere, knocking Leena to the ground. "Oow!" Leena exclaimed, wincing as she sat up. The teen screeched to a halt as he turned around, surprised. "Oh, I'm very sorry about that miss," he said, offering a hand. Leena took it as he said, "Please, if you need compensation, forward your need to General Viper, he'll see that you get treated for any injuries I may have inflicted on you..... Leena?" Leena turned to the young blond man. "Glenn, is that you?" <><><> "My, such... strange company you have," Glenn commented after they had filled everything in on what they were intending to do. "truly a strange ordeal you eight must endure." "Tell me about it," Misty said, rolling her eyes. As the eight sat around a large table in the bar/restaurant, the doors swung open to reveal a young girl in red. Looking around with inquisitive eyes, she sauntered up to the bar and said, "Double scotch." The bartender raised her eyebrows inquisitively. "Aren't you a bit young to drink?" she asked but poured the drink. The girl slugged it down and slammed the glass back on the table, making a low sound of approval. "Bloody hell, that hit the spot." She then refilled the glass and drank fully several times. "She looks familiar..." Ranma said, his brain churning wildly. Just then, Porre Soldiers came into the bar. One of them, a large burly man with a handlebar mustache walked up to the bar, ordering three drinks for his companions and one for himself. The others situated themselves around the girl. "Say girl, you look pretty good," one of them said in a bad macho voice. "What's say we get a room for the night cutie?" "Bugger off, blokes," the girl snapped, "Or else y'want a taste of me dagger?" she pulled a large dagger from her belt and slammed it down between his splayed fingers. "Ooh, a frisky one," another said, grinning. "C'mon cutie, I think you need a lay." He reached out to pat her backside but was suddenly floored by a punch. The other men grabbed her. The girl, a bit worn down by the shots of alcohol, wobbled under a punch that made her cough. Ranma leapt to his feet. "Okay, that tears it." He walked up, tapped one on the shoulder and said, "Excuse me." Then, he let loose with a flared hook that knocked his teeth in. Other Porre soldiers who were on leave in the El Nido town, slid out from their chairs as Ranma cracked his knuckles. One of them, the burly man with the mustache, sneered. "One kid against all of us? You must be fuckin stupid." "Lets take this outside," the girl gasped. She got kicked in the stomach for her trouble. "Shut up bitch!" the man shouted. "You heard the lady," Genki said, joining Ranma. Glenn soon followed as the others hung back. "Lets take this outside." (BGM : Final Fantasy IX : Battle 1) Suddenly, in a strange move, Ranma shot forwards like a bullet, seemingly sliding on his feet, or as some would have sworn, a good inch off the floor. His knee connected with the man's head that sounded rather hollow. He flew out the door and landed in a crumpled heap on the pavement. "Who's next?" Ranma sneered. The remaining seven Porre officers closed in, each pulling various weapons of intent. Genki shot a look at Ranma and Glenn. "Left, right, down the middle." The two grinned. Genki and Ranma clenched their fists as their weapons materialized in a burst of light and Glenn drew one of the Enlanziers from his belt. Then, with a yell, the three tore into their assailants. Ranma focused on the left attacker who had drew a dagger from his belt. He focused his chi into his arm and blocked the strike, the knife edge breaking on the stone hardened skin. Then, he seized the man around his neck, and threw him into the other, who was advancing with a length of pipe. A quick combo and that was all they wanted. Genki dodged a swipe from a length of pipe, turning to receive a rifle butt slam into his stomach. Unfortunately for the man, he was a 90-pound weakling who probably thought there was safety in numbers. Genki took the rifle away and demonstrated the proper technique. Then, tossing away the rifle, he grabbed a hold of the others shirt and with a resounding crack, headbutted the man with a jerk of his arm. Glenn dodged around a few sword swipes of the three sword wielders. He stopped one blade, and drew the other Enlanzier, hitting the other man on the head with the hilt. While the man slumped to the ground, Glenn twisted away from a sword slash that would have torn out his throat, and blocked the attack quickly, and with a x-slice, slashed the man. He fell to the ground, more out of shock than injury. The final man swung a massive blade down in an attempt to cleave Glenn's neck. But then, Glenn dodged and slashed across the man's stomach. The man seemed to linger in the air for a second before crashing down. The three teens brushed the dust off of their clothing as Genki said, "well, that was fun." Ranma didn't respond as he heard a whistle being blown. "I think someone's calling for reinforcements." "For a BAR fight?" Glenn said, incredulous. "They must be very prideful." "And can't take a hit," Ranma said as a troop of Porre soldiers streamed up from the docks. "I think we're outnumbered." "Finished?" Ash said sarcastically, poking his head out of the doorway. Then, his eyes widened. "Whoa, that's a LOT of guys. Um, I think we're outnumbered." "Well, I'm not going down without a fight," Ranma said, charging a Fireball Spell. Genki stanced as well, the pair flaring with yellow and red light. Glenn flared with green light as he readied both Enlanziers. They were about to fire off their respective spells when a loud booming voice cut through the air. "THAT WILL BE ENOUGH!" The Porre soldiers stopped cold as a man in black leather walked up, carrying a trifold blade in his hands. Beside him was a very attractive girl in a green dress, carrying a shopping bag. Glenn quickly knelt, and motioned for the other two to do so. General Viper walked up, and said, "Glenn, what's this all about?" "General, these Porre Military men were harassing a young girl in the bar while she was under the influence. Her state was not well enough to her to defend herself." General Viper smiled. "And are these your companions who defended this girls honor?" "Yes, this is Ranma Powers and Genki Kamiya from Arni. Their companions are tending to the girl inside the bar." "Rise Glenn and friends." They did so as Viper smiled in a most fatherly gesture. "I am not angry, protecting the helpless and needy is the hallmark of the Arcadia Dragoons. I am most pleased with this. Come Riddel, our Shopping is not yet done." Riddel smiled at the three as she followed her father through the crowd of dispersing Porre Soldiers who were gathering up the wounded from the battle. Upon entering the bar once again, Ranma knelt by the girl's side. "How is she?" he asked the bartender. "She will be fine, some bruises and a bit of bleeding on the scalp. Your friends did some good in taking care of her, luckily she has a good strong skull. You may want to stay with her until she has fully recovered. Here," the woman gave Ranma a golden card. "This is a free pass to the Inn, good anywhere, any time for any amount of people. It's the least I can do for you people keeping the damage down to a minimum. I must warn you that there is not enough beds for you all." The group thanked the bartender and quickly left, Brock bearing the girl on his back. Once arriving at the Inn, Glenn turned to the group. "I must head back to Viper Manor. Maybe I will see you again. But for now, take this with you." Ranma held out his hands and Glenn gave him a largish gray machine that had a red orb in the center. "It's a teleporter," Glenn explained. "You can switch party members anywhere. Recommended for places when you can only take three or four people. If someone's not in the active party, then they will return to their point of origin, their home. I think it can transcend time and space too. You may want to use it now." Ranma looked at everyone. "Who wants to go home?" "Me," Misty said, her face twisting into a ick look, "I need a shower." "I need to get some more supplies," Brock said, giving the girl to Ash who staggered under her weight. "I'll head back too." "What's the maximum party?" Mike asked Glenn. "It normally is eight but you can send up to five people home at once." Glenn then nodded and turned around but stopped. "If you need me, I'll come along too." "I think only five people are needed to watch over the girl," Ash said. "I'll bring her in, you guys decide who's going home for a while." As soon as Ash returned, it was decided that Brock, Misty, Genki, Duplica and Ash would return and fill their parents on what they had been doing. Before Ranma initiated the transport, Ash said with a wry grin, "Too bad we can't go home, only be sent home and brought back." "Well I guess it's our lot in life. Have a good night everyone." With that, Ranma hit the transport button. It was kind of strange, they all dissolved into transporter beams you would see in Power Rangers, all color coded as if to signify their magic type, and shot off into the night skies through a portal that irised open for a brief moment. As the night skies started to lower, Mike stretched out. "I don't know about you, but I need some sleep. And a shower." Ranma nodded. "You two go on ahead, I'll make sure our guest is still well enough to survive the night." <><><> Ranma sat at the girl's bedside. She was cute, to say the least. Incredibly thin though. But he knew he had seen her before. Then, it all clicked in. During the final battle with Muu.... <><><> //C'mon you blokes.... What's the use of givin' up? Bloody hell, you three are NOT QUITTERS!// The voice. The girl put her hands on her hips as she frowned disapprovingly. "My mate Serge wouldn't have quit so bloody easily! You kids should be ashamed of yourself, lettin' a littl' thing like DEATH slow ya down!" The face. He remembered. Having blocked it out after returning to the real world, he had forgotten who this girl was. Now, he remembered. The same features, the same voice, everything was the same. Kid. Aka, Schala Zeal. Ranma heaved a great sigh as he blew out the candle. Then, pulling a blanket over himself, he fell asleep in the chair to the rhythmic breathing of Kid. <><><> "... What we call Magic is derived from a higher power called the Astral Grid. It was brought to light by a sorcerer named Zaha Torte. Each level of magic, Light, Dark and Astral, are all derived from this level of magic. What we call Shamanism, is derived from the natural forces of the world, with either a light or dark tone behind it, supporting the natural balances of energies." Ranma found himself sitting in a desk, surrounded by empty ones as an undeterminable man at the front of the room lectured on magic. Strangely, he felt he had heard all this before. "Mazoku, draw on the Darkest sectors of the Grid, while Ryuzoku, draw on the Light sectors. If we were to channel magic through these ports, either the Mazoku or Ryuzoku, the natural strength of the Grid is filtered... Miss Inverse, are you paying attention?" Ranma suddenly found himself the center of attention, with faceless students looking at him. "Yes," he answered his dream. "Good. Now, we will continue..." 'Too weird,' Ranma thought to himself. <><><> Kid awoke the next morning to a beam of sunlight. Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she looked around. Her eyes narrowed in confusion as she tried to recall anything about the last day. Oh bugger that, she thought. Then, a snore startled her as she whipped around, her dagger at the ready. She found Ranma sleeping in the chair, sleeping soundly. Her grip on the dagger faltered and she resheathed it in an attempt to keep from dropping it into the wood. Who was he? Kid asked herself. Then, the door opened and a head with brown hair peered in. "Oh, you're awake," he said, the door opening wide. He carried a tray of food. Kid's stomach rumbled as the young man set it down. "I'm Mike, this chainsaw is Ranma. We helped you against the Porre soldiers yesterday." "Bugger, but I don't remember," Kid said, taking a bowl of oatmeal from the tray. "So, you guys were the ones who brought me here?" she asked, taking a spoonful of food. Then, her eyebrow raised suggestively. "You didn't do anything to a Sweet, Innocent, Young, Girl now did you?" Mike blushed and Kid chuckled. "Bloody hell, you look like Serge with that deer in the flashstick look!" Ranma then awoke, and stretched. "Man, I have a kink in my neck the size of the Rock of Gibraltar." He then grabbed a bowl and started to scarf down the food. "I see you're up you walking stomach," Mike said. Then, Leena poked her head in. "Anyone awake.. oh, good morning everyone." "Morning," the men chorused as Kid watched her take a bowl and start to eat at a slow pace. Kid raised her eyebrow as she turned to the pair and asked, "Hey guys, this shelia one of yours?" The pair choked for a second before Leena laughed. "Of course not!" Ranma said, jerking his thumb at Mike. "He's hers." "RANMA!" Mike sputtered. Kid laughed as she sighed and finished off her food, pausing to slap Ranma's hand away. "Back off you walking stomach." <><><> "Hey Kid, have you heard anything about something called the Astral Grid?" Kid looked up from her slouched position as she overlooked the cape that Termina was situated on. "A bit, why?" Ranma settled in beside her. "I heard that all magic is derived from the Grid, whatever that was." "The Astral Grid is a bloody big source of magical energy that was brought to light by Zaha Torte in 8030 BC. He was a powerful sorcerer and many say he almost surpassed the legendary Lei Magnus." Kid then snorted. "Bloody hell, if that Grid exists, then why the hell don't we do magic?" "Perhaps humans haven't found a way to channel it again," Ranma said. Kid shrugged. "I don't know much about this Grid, as he called it, but they say that all magic comes from the thing." "Dragon Slave," Ranma said. "Wha?" Kid asked, confused. "The Dragon Slave was a spell designed by Lei Magnus, that powerful sorcerer. It drew on the Dark Lord Shabranigdo for its power. Pure Black Power, in a crimson form. The Ultimate Dragon Killer Spell." "Ya mean that Forbidden Magic?" Kid asked, astonished he had heard of it. "That one that those Sorcerer Hunters from long ago sealed up? Damn, how'd you hear about it? I thought it was sealed away." "I... have very good sources," Ranma admitted. Kid just nodded, her eyebrows twisted into a frown. "Uh huh. Okay." The pair sat in silence before she said in a soft voice, "I wanna thank you for saving me from those blokes. No telling what they'd do to a Helpless Young Girl." She chuckled and Ranma joined her. "If there's anything I can do, please, let me join you." "That's.... very kind of you, but don't you have someone to see?" Ranma asked quietly. "Someone you miss very much?" "Aye," she said, sighing. "I miss two people. One of them isn't probably coming back... the other... well, my mate Serge can wait for a while longer." 'So I was correct,' Ranma thought, 'She IS the same girl from before.' <><><> "Any idea on how to get to the mainland?" Ash asked, tapping his finger on the table thoughtfully. "I'm lost." "We could hijack a boat.... but none of us know how to sail." Misty pointed out. "And we don't have enough Water Pokemon to ferry us through the sea," Brock added. "Ditto could.... um.... no, not a good idea." Duplica waved off the looks that she was getting. "I know," Kid said, "we could ask that Viper bloke for a ship. It would be much easier." "But how will we get in?" Leena asked, curious. Kid smirked. "Sneak in of course. I doubt those Dragoons would let us in normally." "Sounds good, but a party this big couldn't sneak in," Ranma pointed out. "He's right," Mike added. "How in the hell are we to get into Viper Manor on our own?" "I think I could be of some service," a man said, coming up behind them. He was tall with long purple hair, a golden mask and magician clothing. At his side a staff made of rainbow shell floated. "My name is Guile. I could lead a small party of three in the back of Viper Manor." "Really?" Genki then shook his head. "But there are nine of us. How in the world are we supposed to get in?" "A few.... friends of mine have done this before, though I do not remember when." Guile paused before saying, "a man named Pierre and Nikki, the Rock Star who is docked in Termina's Port. You may be able to recruit them to help get you all inside Viper Manor." "Okay Mr. Guile, we accept. If the direct approach doesn't work, we'll sneak in." Ash and Guile shook hands. <><><> WHAM BAM CRUNCH! Genki dusted his hands and rolled his eyes. "Man, these guys are simply pathetic!" he declared over the battered bodies of several Dragoons. Pierre only smirked as he cut down a couple of Dragoons with the blade of his Hero's Sword. "Oui, most annoying, no?" "And why," Duplica puffed, "was I put into the same group as you two jokers?" She swung her katana as Ditto had become a snarling Arcanine and was spitting fire everywhere. "Because the others were taking the indirect route," Leena said, clobbering a Dragoon with the flat side of her Frying Pan she had picked up at Zappa's Smithy. "Just be glad you're not facing down too many Dragoons. At this rate, we'll get their attention soon enough." One of the Dragoons looked up painfully. "Okay, okay, you can come in." "Thank you," Pierre walked over him, Leena pausing to stick out her tongue at him. <><><> "OW. YOU ARE MOST CERTAINLY STRONG. WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO SNEAK INTO VIPER MANOR?" Zoah asked Ranma who helped him up. "Because your Dragoons wouldn't let us in, even though we know Glenn." Ash reasoned. "Rockin," Nikki said, grinning. "Besides, I feel it's important to help these guys." "How reassuring," Misty said, rolling her eyes. "YOU COULD HAVE JUST KNOCKED." <><><> "Bugger!" Kid spat, dodging a hail of rocks. "Why did we have to climb all the bloody way up?!" "Because it is good for us," Guile answered reasonably as he used his Wandala Swords technique to slice through a volley of rocks. "This is kinda fun actually," Brock chortled. "C'mon, one more ledge!" "They're coming up!" A Dragoon shouted, "Aler...." KA WHAM! <><><> General Viper knew there would be days like this. Before him stood seven new people he had not seen before, but were dressed remarkably similar to several acquaintances, Glenn, Kid, Leena, Guile, Nikki, Pierre, and the three of the four Divas, Karsh, Zoah and Marcy. Dario and Riddel were in town so their attendance was excused. As the huge group crowded into his study, Viper folded his hands and said, "You could have just knocked." The Divas and Glenn rolled their eyes as Kid snickered. "Bloody hell, that wouldn't be fun at all now would it?" Viper had the faintest look of a smile on his face. "No, I suppose it would not. So, what brings you all here?" Zoah cast a glance at the group and said, "THEY REQUEST A SHIP SO THAT THEY MAY RETURN TO THE MAINLAND." Viper raised an eyebrow. "A ship? Which port are you headed to?" "Guardia sir," Ash said, feeling a bit cramped and trying hard to not move, for fear of any move being rude, rude or improper, improper lewd or gay, or just improper. "We're trying to see King Guardia," Misty chimed in. "Perhaps you could help us then?" Viper nodded and stood. "I can have a ship for you all. I assume you all are going?" The Divas exchanged glances. "Like, it hasn't crossed our minds and some junk," Marcy said. "I will be accompanying them General," Glenn said. Viper nodded. He then reached into a drawer and pulled out a bag of Elements. "Here are some elements for the trip. Food and supplies will be on the boat. Glenn, have a safe trip with them." "Um...." everyone looked at Karsh who said, "If it doesn't bother you General, I would like to go along too." "KARSH..." Zoah said, looking at his best friend. "It's been too long since I had an adventure. These kids sound like they know what they're doing. So, I think for the sake of my sanity, I'll go along with them." "THEN I WILL JOIN HIM. AFTER ALL, WE ARE A GOOD TEAM. THERE IS NO REASON FOR US TO SEPERATE." "Then I'm coming too!" Marcy said, jumping up and down. "I wanna come along!" General Viper chuckled. "Then... I am sure Dario can look after Riddel. I will join you as well." Viper turned and opened a secret door. Inside was a room with a window and a bird in a cage. He scribbled down a note and attached it to the bird. Loosing the bird out the window, he said, "The SS Invincible should be arriving shortly." <><><> "Argh!" Fargo growled into the Destined's faces, causing some of them to jump. "Welcome aboard mates! I'm Fargo! The Cap'n of this fine vessel, the SS Invincible! Come along, come along! No time to waste! Get yer stuff together and lets go!" "Kinda scary, reminds me of that Captain Crook guy," Misty said, earning a nod from Ash. "Mind filling us in?" Brock said. "It's a long story," Pikachu said from atop Ash's head. Soon, the Invincible had set off, soon passing through the rapid moving water that flowed through the opening of the coral reefs. In the distance, about five hours away was the mainland of Guardia. "We'll be setting down in Truce," Fargo told Ranma, Brock and Kid who were at the wheel with him. "The sea's nice and calm today. It'll take us a bit over five hours to get there." "That's great! We can meet with King Guardia!" Kid looked worried. Ranma, noticing her expression said, "What's wrong?" She looked up and said, "Nothing really." "Argh! Matey! Take the wheel!" Fargo suddenly said to one of the men who did so. "I've got an old score to settle with Viper." "You called?" Viper called from behind him. Fargo turned and unsheathed a rainbow sword while Viper carried that trifold blade of his. "I know you've been itching to fight me since our last duel." "That I am," Fargo said, stepping out onto the middle of the deck. "Just swords, real men don't need to use Elements!" "My thoughts exactly," Viper said. Karsh nodded in agreement as he and the Divas stood behind Viper near the back of the boat. "So, lets do this Viper. One on one, winner is the better man." "Are they really going to fight?" Brock asked. "Looks that way," Ranma said. (BGM : Final Fantasy IX : Battle 1) The pair met, weapons clashing. Viper took a swing at his head and Fargo ducked it, clashing with his own blade. The pair met time and time again, clashing and parrying. Fargo twisted his head to the side, the end of his cigar shearing off with a quick stroke. "Argh, you're good now," Fargo said grudgingly as he swiped and parried the attack with relative ease. "You're not bad yourself," Viper grunted, clearly enjoying the battle. On the sidelines, the pirates cheered on their captain while the rest of them cheered on Viper. The pair locked, inches away from each other before separating. "Argh, enough of this. Tech skills. See who's the better man." Fargo blazed with blue light, clenching his hand while Viper blazed with yellow light. "INVINCIBLE!" Fargo shouted, dashing forwards, his sword swinging in the air. "G-FORCE!" Viper dashed forwards as well, his sword flashing in the air. The pair of attacks met and for a brief moment, both of them crackled with energy at the swords contact point. The pair strained against each other, the force of their Tech Skills crackling and hissing with energy before they leapt back. Fargo was breathing heavily as with Viper as Fargo looked up from his hunched over position. "You've gotten good." "So have you," Viper acknowledged. "Truce?" "Truce." "That was something else!" Duplica said. "Incredible!" <><><> "Well, it's been a blast actually," Ash said, shaking hands with Fargo. "Thanks for the ride." "Argh, same goes to you laddie," Fargo growled out, grinning through his cigar. "You take care of yourselves now. And Viper!" Viper looked up. "Try ta keep up with these kids!" Viper chuckled. "No worries there." The huge group of sixteen people disembarked from the Invincible. Mike stretched. "Wow, it's great to be on land again," he said. "This is my first time to go to the mainland," Leena said. "It's really pretty here," Duplica added. As the huge group entered the middle of Truce's town square, a voice called out to them. "Yare yare... we were expecting you. One of my colleagues didn't think you guys would be here." The group turned to see... him. The slit eyes. The purple hair. The priestly robes. The ruby top on his staff. It couldn't be... "XELLOS?!" exclaimed the people who knew him. "Who's the purple haired fruitcake?" Karsh asked Glenn who shrugged. "Beat's me." "Ahh... and you know of me as well." The legendary Mazoku then got up from his position and walked towards the group. "Ash, Ranma, Genki. Nice to see you three. I knew you could do it!" "Ash, what is he talking about? What's Xellos doing here?" Misty asked. "Ranma, what is going on?" Brock added. "Aye..." Ash, Ranma, and Genki simultaneously remarked. "Xellos here, had observed us grow up." began Ash. "He appeared during the battle against Muu to give us, surprisingly, some advice." continued Genki. "Xellos appeared? I don't remember that." Brock stated. "That's because you guys were, well, you know... out of it." Ranma explained before turning to the trickster priest. "Okay fruitcake, what do you want?" Xellos pouted. "That's mean, calling me a fruitcake before you know me." "Oh shut up. I watched all 78 episode of Slayers and for one, you are a fruitcake." It didn't stop there. "You are a freak that loves... to annoy people! Always saying this is a secret, that's a secret, yadda yadda yadda. So why do intend into butting in to our lives?" "Well... that's a secret. Yare... and you really sound like Lina when she's mad, you know that?" Ranma responded with a tackle and a choke hold on the Mazoku, and some incoherent shouting about not calling him Lina or something like that. "Please Ranma calm down. It isn't like he has done anything," Leena said. "You think we should pull him off?" Nikki asked Guile who shook his head. "Nope, I think the fruitcake is actually enjoying this." "So, like mind filling us all in?" Marcy asked Duplica. Duplica sighed. "Xellos is a trickster priest who is supposed to be a Mazoku. I don't know why he's here though." Xellos spared a glance at the newest members of the group and raised an eyebrow. "Oh my, it seems that you've picked up quite a few people along the way. The Rockstar Nikki, Glenn and three of the Four Divas, General Viper, the swordsman Pierre, and oh my! Janus! It's quite lovely to see you again." "The name is Guile now," Guile said. "Same old Janus, always can't take a joke." As Kid finally got tired of Ranma choking the Mazoku, not that it did any good at all, a poof of smoke appeared to reveal an odd green creature that hovered above Xellos's head. "Celebi?" it inquired. "What's this?" Ash took out his Pokedex and pointed it at the odd green creature that hovered near Xellos' head. *Celebi. A grass/psychic Pokemon. It is rumored to have the ability to travel through time. Also it is even rarer than the legendary Mew.* "A time traveling Pokemon?" went Misty. "We heard of such a Pokemon back at the university. I never though we would see one." remarked Brock. "Celebi. If you're here then you have the item in hand?" stated Xellos, as teleported of of Ranma's grasp. The small creature only responded with a cute sound and a flash of light making whatever item appear in front of it. The item in question was a D3 digivice. As soon the flash of light was gone Xellos plucked it from the air. "By the way, "Xellos began, "shouldn't a Digidestined team consist of eight members?" With that he handed the device to Leena. "What's this?" Leena asked, taking the item in question. "A little something that will help you on your journey. But for now, I think that our extra visitors should visit Gaspar, while the rest of you Destined should split into two groups." "Who's Gaspar?" Kid asked. "He is a Guru, living in the End of Time," Xellos explained. "If you would all please step into the portal, he will explain this better to you." A Time Gate irised open beside him. "Hey, what about King Guardia, don't you guys need to see him?" Glenn asked. "Actually... his arrival definately changes everything," Mike answered, putting his hands on his chin. "So I guess we're all going to this End of Time place, whatever the bloody hell it is," Kid added. One by one, the group filed into the Time Gate, all shunted to the End of Time. "Now, for the rest of you. You need to split into two groups. Choose wisely, because the Teleporter will not work once you arrive in the era." "Why should we? And another thing, why are you involved? From the looks of things, it doesn't look like except you, that the Mazoku or Ryuzoku races are involved in this mess. Muu and the Digital World I doubt were the concerns of the Mazoku race then, so why now?" Misty demanded. "Yare yare. You know things do change a lot for over many millenniums. Yes, I do have an interest in this, but I'm also afraid one of you is quite tied into this mess more than you realize. But I think you should find out soon enough." Xellos leaned back at a wall, his staff aside. "Then how do we know we can trust you? You are called the trickster priest for a reason you know," Brock added. "I'm hurt. Wasn't I who provided a Digivice for your newest member? Wasn't I who gave advice during the battle of Juuban? I guess I've still have a tainted reputation from traveling with Lina and company, ne?" Xellos noted, seemingly focusing on Ranma. Ranma for one did not like the look Xellos was giving him. "Hey Xel, you don't mind if we discuss this matter of splitting into two teams?" "Go ahead if you like." The group started to converse amongst themselves before they came up with an agreement. They turned back to Xellos as Ash said, "Myself, Brock, Genki and Duplica will be in one group. Ranma, Misty, Leena and Mike will be in the second group." Xellos nodded. Then, two portals irised open beside him. "Ranma's group, enter the left portal. Ash, you and your group enter the right." The pair of leaders looked at each other before their groups filed into the portals that snapped shut after them. Xellos smiled, as he looked at the portal Ranma went into. "Oh if only he knew..."
