Memories Of Serenity! With a quiet hiss, the door opened to reveal the four Time Travelers. Canal looked up and smiled. "Oh, you're back." "Canal, what happened?" Mike demanded. "How did you end up here in this time period?" "Err.... heh heh," Canal said, growing a huge cybernetic sweatdrop that threatened to engulf the whole bridge. "I kinda let someone in that the computer identified as you, Ranma. Because of her, the time machine got sent here." Misty blinked. "But how? Doesn't the computer check the bio-signatures of anyone who wants access to this ship?" "Of course!" Canal said indignantly with a scowl. "But apparently this girl who did get in almost exactly had the same bio-signature, that the computer believed she was Ranma." Ranma sweatdropped. "M....... me?" "What girl?" Leena asked. "See for yourself." Canal gestured to the screen to reveal the ships logs. There, a red head girl was waving into the screen gleefully. "..." "..." "..." "......... LINA INVERSE?!" Ranma exclaimed, his voice pitching high enough to be mistaken for his girl voice. "Ranma... what wrong?" The four others casted a glance at the young man who twitched nervously. "Uh uh... uh uh... no way... I don't have the same bio-whatever as her. No way... no way... nope... not a chance..." Ranma went off to his quarters, mumbling nervously as everyone sweatdropped. "Um... forget it." Misty sighed as she ran a grimy hand through her messy hair. "Canal, do you know what's significaticant about the year 6000 BC? That's what this letter said that's where we should go to get the Epoch fixed." "6000 BC? You say 6000 BC?" Canal then turned to the computers. "What's the matter Canal?" Leena inquired. "That's the era I was from. The Silver Millennium Era." "Silver Millennium?" Mike added. "I'll tell you in a bit. Everyone strap in and call Ranma to the bridge." In a few minutes, the group had strapped themselves in as Canal started to count down. "Temporal Co-ordinates locked. Beginning Temporal Slip Stream Drive in 5... 4.... 3... 2....1!" The Epoch lurched forwards and disapeared into Time. Leena yelped as she clutched the arms of the chair she sat in frantically. "What's going on here?!" she shouted frantically. The view outside of the Epoch cockpit was much like an effect from Andromeda when in slipstream, with Ranma at the helm, piloting through the tunnel of energy. "I think I'm going to be sick," Mike said, turning a shade of green. "Just a few more seconds!" Canal said frantically as the counter on the display reached zero. With a flash of light, they rematerialized.... five meters from the incredible bulk of a royal blue airship. The passengers screamed as Ranma lurched the Epoch to the side, barely missing the radar antenna atop the airship, the Epoch making it's customary world revolution. <><><> ATE: Calling everyone "I'm telling you Ryoko, it's my turn to help Tenchi out." "You helped him out enough already. My turn to help him with his chores, Princess!" "MY TURN!" "NO, MY TURN!" "MINE!" "MINE!" "MINE!" "MINE!" "Ano... Ryoko-san, Ayeka-neechan," Sasami interrupted. "Washu-chan said that you two should meet her in the lab." That got the two to stop fighting each other. "Whaa... but I thought she promised no experiments this week!" Ryoko whined. "It's a meeting for everyone here. Tenchi, Mihoshi, and Kiyone are already there." Sasami answered. Ayeka and Ryoko looked at Sasami then at each other. "Tenchi's going to be sitting with me!" "No me!" "ME!" "ME!" Sasami sighed. Ryoko-san and Ayeka-neechan fight a lot. <><><> ATE : Introductions "Woah... the Phoenix has a sentiant computer system that can manifest as a holograph?" Richie said as the small group entered the Pheonix. "Yep. His name is Kane Blueriver. He claims be the ship's guardian of sorts. He didn't like being used the past four years while he was... well... sleeping." Ash gave a half shrug as the group started to explore the areas of the Pheonix that had not been seen in a while. "Hmmm... a sentient computer system? That explains it then." Professor Oak mused. "Why Professor Oak?" Brock asked. "Remember how I mentioned that the powerful weaponry and systems it held, we said flying it would cause a power struggle? Maybe we underestimated the power efficiency due to the true manifestations of the Pheonix's computer systems not being activated yet." Kane then phased into the room. "Heh... you can say that again. Being put on Sleep mode for many years can do that to you." Everyone turned to the man, some blinking in surprise, some startled at his sudden appearance. "So... you're the one who cause the disturbance in the hanger earlier," Wedge said. "Yep, that's me. I was acting a bit.... rash actually." "Indeed," Biggs added as the pair of techs resumed working on the delicate circutry. "So Kane, where did you come from? I doubt any of the technology used to create you isn't available yet so I'm guessing that this craft must be created with an alien technology of some sort. After all I doubt anybody right now has a technology to give a computer a human personality." asked Tracey, who was making sketches of the craft's interior. "You mean you would consider something constructed on Earth's moon as an alien creation? And the reason I act like a human is because I used to be one," Kane answered. All heads turned to the man in the dark mantle. "Constructed on the moon?!" "Used to be human?!" <><><> ATE : The Past, Around 6,000 BC Or So, Give Or Take A Millennia. In the air, a large blue airship sat, hovering. With it's sleek lines and golden trim, it was a sight to see. The only jarring look was a large red orb on the underside. The Airship was the Invincible, King Endymion's Flagship. Onboard, enroute for the Moon Kingdom was Prince Endymion and his bodyguards, the Four Guardians. "How much longer until we reach the edge of the gravity well?" Jadeite asked of the young man who sat at the helm. "Ten minutes sir." Suddenly, a brilliant flash accompanied by a sonic boom was heard as a large something blasted across the front of the boat, barely missing it by a few inches. The Invincible rocked from the shockwave it left as Kunzite grit his teeth. "Report!" "There was something that appeared out of nowhere sir! I'm tracking it now... it's out of range sir." "What in the world was that?" Zoicite asked as he regained his footing on the deck. "I don't know really," Endymion said, straightening his tunic. "We'd better get moving, before something else strange happens." <><><> The Invincible turned skyward and started to gain momentum to break the gravity well as the silver craft known as the Epoch came from the other side of the world, slowing to a halt. Mike shook his head. "Aw man, that was harsh. And we nearly crashed into that airship!" "We were temporarily immaterial. It wouldn't have hurt us, much less destroyed us," Canal replied. "Thanks for the trip," Misty groaned as Togepi trilled happily from it's seat in her lap. "I Hate Time Travel," Leena muttered, standing up and lurching to the back of the Epoch for some stomach medicine. "Well it can't be helped I suppose," Ranma said as he unbuckled his harness. "Let's fly around and locate a suitable landing spot." "Oh Ranma...." Ranma winced at the call as he turned to look at Misty and Canal who smiled deviously. "We thought," Misty said, indicating herself and Canal, "that since you don't need to be in your girl form, we would make you a new outfit!" "Joy," Ranma said without much enthusiasm. "What now?" Canal giggled as she materialized a pile of clothes and a large floppy hat dropped down atop his head. "Here you are." Ranma glared at the pair. "You just like to dress me up, don't you." It was an accusation, not a question. The two girls only grinned as Leena looked at Mike. "Something I missed?" Leena asked curiously. "It's kinda a long story," he replied as Ranma hauled the clothing to his room. After a quick clothes change, Mike shrugged. "It's a good look for you." Ranma glared at him, two golden eyes narrowing angrily. "I look like Vivi Orunitia from Final Fantasy IX." He reached up and adjusted his hat. "You girls just like dressing me up, don't you?" he demanded again, earning laughter from all those present in the cabin. The pair chuckled. "Yeah, that, and I don't think that wearing your other outfit is going to look good on you Ranma," Canal said, giggling. Ranma sighed, casting a glance heavenward. "Why me?" Then, he looked at Canal, sitting down on a easy chair. "So what's the Silver Millenium like Canal?" Ranma asked the green haired girl. "Well, the Silver Millenium is mostly a chain of monarchy's with an alliance throughout the solar system. Each of the worlds has a distinct flavor to them. Terra or Earth as it's called now, has a Royal Family with Four Guardians, the males of the Royal House called Endymion. Most of the worlds have adopted this naming scheme since the first Endymion and Serenity." "Mars is mostly technology with smatterings of magic users around," Canal then said, bringing up pictures of several places. "The biggest castle on the surface of Mars is Grand Castle and a whole city resides within it as well the Royal Family." "Kinda like Lindblum from Final Fantasy IX," Mike commented. "Do they have airships?" "Yes, and Solar Ships as well. The planet Mercury on the other hand is mostly mining with a ruling head on the throne, but it's a dwarven king. If we do stop there for some reason, you must call out, 'Rally-ho!' or you won't be able to enter. Venus is under the rule of the Elves and is mostly a trade world, making it one of the biggest trade centers in the whole system." "This is starting to make my head hurt," Misty complained, rubbing her forehead. "It can't be helped," Canal said. "I don't remember everything since being dormant for such a long time. Now, Jupiter has no cities on it's surface since it's a big ball of gas and storms. But Jupiter has colonies on the moons, all of them small towns and farmland, patroled by a group of Lightstar Guardians, the local police force." "Are we going to cover ALL the planets?" Leena asked as she propped her legs up on the table. "NO FEET ON THE TABLE!" Canal bellowed, Leena hurridly removing her feet from the polished surface. "But no, we're going to cover one last part. The Moon Kingdom over Terra. This place is ruled by Serenity the... I forget. But it's a beautiful place, constructed out of marble and some crystal with incredible gardens." "Sounds beautiful," Misty said. "It is. I spent a while there working with the Gurus on the systems of the Swordbreaker and the other light ships." Canal shrugged. "I guess we're off. We need to land on Earth and get the ship upgraded before heading out into space. The Guru's lab is located on the moon, and they're the only ones that can repair the dimensional jump components." "Why?" Mike asked. "It's deep space dummy!" Canal said. "I can't go out there without protection, I'd freeze my systems!" The group sighed. "She's got a point," Leena admitted. "Togepriii!" Togepi trilled. Ranma then blinked. "Hey Misty, out of curiosity, just why doesn't Togepi speak anymore? I've heard him about twice on this trip. And it was a chirp that suspiciously sounded like Okaasan." "My little Togepi is still developing his Japanese," Misty said, cradling the egg Pokemon. "He has a few phrases down but not enough for full speech." "Ah, and where was he when we arrived in 2100 AD Another?" Mike added. Misty sweatdropped. "He was sleeping in my backpack. Can't imagine how he was able to sleep through the battles." "That's one carefree Pokemon," Leena added. "Hey, that reminds me, Leena," Mike asked, turning to Leena. "What do you change into?" "Huh? I actually don't know," Leena said. "I can try it out now if you want." "NOT INSIDE ME!" Canal shouted, startling the group. "I don't want a huge Digimon bending my hull because it's too big!" "Sheesh. Hey Canal, have you ever considered... Prozac?" Mike ventured. "I am NOT INSANE!" Canal huffed as she stalked away. "Honestly, try to pilot a group of ruffians around and look what happens." "Must be that Time of the Month," Mike commented, earning a smack from both Misty and Leena. "Dolt, she's a COMPUTER! She doesn't HAVE a Time of the Month!" Misty admonished. Ranma sighed as he smacked his forehead. "Before this deteriorates even further, let's go to an ATE." <><><> ATE : Incomprehension "Well that's about it," Washu said, indicating the chart she had pulled down to demonstrate the severity of the world. "In short, a world created parallel to ours is severely affecting the quantum flow of the timestream, thus creating a temporal loop within the world itself, endangering the world we live in. Any questions?" Ryoko blinked as with everyone else. "Can you repeat that again?" Everyone else nodded. Even Washu could facefault. <><><> ATE : Where The Hell Are We Now?! "We're lost again." Ryoga sighed as Sabrina rolled her eyes. "I can't believe you!" Erika snapped angrily. "You said we would be there within a day and it's taken us almost a week to get to Tokyo!" "It's not my fault!" Ryoga snapped. "I need to buy a GPS system but they keep on moving the stores!" Whitney rolled her eyes, mimicing Sabrina. "Are we even going to get there?" Ryoga scratched his head as he removed the map from his backpack and started to read through it. "It seems we're near Kyushu in Japan." Jasmine peered at the map and sweatdropped. "Um, Ryoga? That's a map of Iowa." "Huh, and I was wondering why Spokane was so close to it." Ryoga crumpled it up and tossed the map over his shoulder. "Well, no sense waiting around here. Let's get a move on." "Bulba bulba saur saur," Bulbasaur complained before following his master, grabbing him by the hand with his Vine Whip. "Exactly WHERE are we?" Jasmine asked, looking around. "It's kinda smells like fish." "Is you long way from Japan ya?" The five turned at the voice. There, standing in the middle of the large forest was a six foot muscular man with a beard, horned skullcap and a huge axe. "You lost? Ivan show you way home ya?" Ryoga blinked. "Ivan?" "Ryoga?" The Viking then grinned. "Man, you is long way from home, cross time again, yes?" Ryoga sighed. "We are most DEFINATELY lost." Sabrina nodded as she and the others followed Ryoga into the village. "I thought the aura of this place felt a bit off." "Gee, no kidding. And I thought the fact that we're in the middle of Norway wasn't a determining factor in that conclusion," Erika grumped as the four girls and a boy tromped into the viking village. <><><> ATE : Swiss Cheese "And in other news, the Pokemon Convention in Saffron City had come under attack by an unknown force. An amature camera man took a video of the girls who had the skill and power to defeat these creatures." Usagi took a bite of her toast, and took a long drink of her tea... and then did a classic Jerry Lewis Spit Take and a Facefault as the video clearly showed a girl in seifuku of the Senshi type, but heavily armored than usual. But the style was still there, gloves and bodysuit, albeit armored, tiara and choaker, earrings, impractical heels or boots with the short as heck skirt. Yup, definately a Senshi. She was flanked by two others, both in similar armor and skirt. This was starting to get too weird, even on her watch. "Hey Luna, when were you gonna tell me about this?" Usagi asked the cat who's jaw was through the floor. "I.. er... well... that is.... um...." "Well?" Usagi asked tensely as she glared at the cat who sweated. "My memory isn't perfect Usagi," Luna protested. "It's akin to Swiss Cheese." Usagi sighed while buring her face in her hand. "Here we go again." "The man directing these creatures identified himself as Mervin, a sorcerer for Wiseman." the reporter continued. "W..... Wiseman? Did she say Wiseman?" Usagi exclaimed. "But that can't be. You defeated him almost thirty years ago." Luna added. "Obviously he's alive and kicking." Usagi scowled for a bit before picking up her cellular phone and dialing in a number. "Hi, Ami-chan? Yeah, it's me. Did you see the news? Yeah. Freaky, ain't it?" She then paused to glare at Luna. "Yeah, Luna's still pushing the Swiss Cheese complaint." Luna sighed. <><><> "Epoch to Terra Station, permission to land, over." "Permission granted. You are cleared to land on the Outer Ring, Pylon Four." The reply was short and brief after a few seconds of silence. Canal sighed. "Okay people, we're going to be here in Terra City for a while. Make the most of it while we're here. We can get some new weapons and perhaps you may want to stop by the armory and synthisist and get some armor and accessories as well as more potions and ethers." The others nodded as the docking manuvers completed and the door hissed open. As soon as the five had crossed the entrance of the station, everyone visibly moved back away by a step. Mike blinked. "Does it seem like to you that everyone is giving us a wide berth?" The group moved into customs where a group of guards stood, moving people through, scanning them with a strange magnifying glass with an over abundance of crystaline technology on it. "Please step up to the line," a gruff man said. THRUM THRUM THRUM Ranma held out his arms, fighting the urge to sigh and roll his eyes. "S-sorry about th-this sir," the fresh faced man who was unlucky enough to pick Ranma said as he cleared him through. "There's so many Youma out there disguised as humans, we need to screen everyone who comes through the ports." Ranma shrugged. "Not a problem." "Miss? Could you please remove your metallic objects and place them into the tray?" antother asked Misty. Misty emptied out her backpack's Pokeballs into the tray as she passed through the screening as well. The five moved quickly through the screening process as Canal turned to them. "Alright, we'll meet at the inn just down the hall. All the stores you'll need are in this building. I'll go and get myself upgraded." <><><> ATE : Crime and Punishment "Hey!" Misty practically pounced on the four armed man and hoisted him up by the lapels of his coat. "Give me back my money!" The man stammered as he retrieved a purse of gold from the inside of his jacket. Misty then threw him onto the ground. "Now get out of here." The man muttered a reply as he bolted from the street. Leena rolled her eyes. "Misty, could you have done that a bit more diplomatically?" "Not really," Misty admitted as she attached a cord that strung to the inside of her red jacket."Lets go and find some place to sleep for tonight." Leena looked up at a large hotel decorated with a large honeybee on the front. "How about this place?" Misty looked up and shrugged. "It looks okay." "Um, ladies," someone said, clearing his throat. The pair turned and Misty scowled. "You again?" she demanded. The man nodded a bit. "Um.... that's the Honey Bee Inn, a place for.... people of not your tastes." Misty went bright red as Leena blinked uncomprehendingly. "What was that all about?" "I'll... tell you later," Misty said, pushing the other girl away from the garishly decorated hotel. <><><> ATE : Stiltzkin "Hello there. Kupo." Ranma and Mike looked down at the small bandanna clad Moogle with the big backpack with several scrolls sticking out of the pack. "Hey. I'm Stiltzkin. Wanna purchase a few items to help me on my trip?" Ranma shrugged. "What do you got?" "One Elixer, one Pheonix Pinion, and three Ore. All for 222 Gil." Mike fished out a handful of coins. "Is this good?" Stiltzkin nodded. "Yeah. Thanks man, this will be enough for me to continue my journey!" Ranma nodded as he pocketed the small items. "Say, do you know where we can find a moogle named Mogrita?" "Kupo. Mogrita is in the Moon Palace." "Aw man, she HAD to be there," Mike groaned as the pair stood up from their crouch. "Can we get into the Moon Palace?" Ranma asked of the small moogle. "Kupo... well, it's slightly difficult but every day they have a guided tour through the palace at about midday. The trick to getting to Mogrita is in slipping away from the tour group." "Okay. Thanks for the help Stiltzkin," said Mike as he shook hands with the moogle. "Anytime. Kupo." <><><> ATE : Need Bigger Guns "Can you add some guns please? I would feel so much more protected." "But Canal," one of the techs protested. "You don't need weapons on a Time Ship." "Please?" Canal gave the man her sweetest smile as he sighed. "Alright, but professor Gaspar will go nuts when he finds out you added weapons to his pride and joy." Canal nodded as the group started to work, replacing her hull and adding weapons. "Thank the Matrix they're doing this for free." <><><> ATE : We Don't Serve Your Kind Here Ranma wandered the streets of the Terra Capital as he waited for Canal's friends to finish upgrades on her. He adjusted the big floppy hat and peered into the nearby store window. He rolled his eyes, two brilliant golden spots in a featureless face. How in the world did the girls convince him to dress up like this? Then again, it was either this or his skimpy leather skirt and short t-shirt. And while he was not unhappy with his girl form, he just didn't like staying in it for a long period of time. He wondered once again how Canal was able to make him look just like a Black Mage from the Final Fantasy Games, even hiding his face from view, only leaving two golden eyes shining out. In a sheer feeling of sillyness, he raised the hat off his head, his face fading into view. "Face, no face. Face, no face." He repeated the motion a few times, grinning as he did so. "I feel MUCH better now," he said to himself. As he walked along, he noticed a few glares from the passerby. Walking up to a woman who stood behind a stall, he said, "Thirty Potions and Ethers please." The woman looked uncomfortable. "I-I'm sorry sir... I can't sell anything right now...." Ranma blinked. "What's the problem ma'am?" "Get out of here!" A heavy set man stomped up to him, sneering at Ranma. "We don't sell to your kind here Black Mage!" Ranma groaned inwardly. What did he get himself into this time? End Episode 10 Part 1
