Reworking The Past An Alter Wish Tie In written by Shaun Garin <><><> “Tomobiki High School. Man, there’s some memories here.” Opening my Senior Year Book, I read over the names and pictures. “Megane, Chiba, Mendo, Sakura, Shinobu... man I miss those guys, I thought. After Lum had left earth after our breakup, the rest of the school year was more of a educational time than the common madhouse. Made me wonder how I ever got wrapped up in that sort of chaos... “Okay Shaun-kun, just breathe in deeply. This is the last round of Tag, so keep loose.” I tightened the tiger striped cloth around my left arm, securing it tightly in a double knot. It was my last edge over the Oni girl. I tightened the laces on my sneakers and waited for her appearance. Shinobu rubbed my shoulders to loosen them up and Sakura-sensei made sure my blood pressure was even. Soon, she decended from her ship, covering her top. Strange that an Alien Oni Girl didn’t have any extra tops. At least my fingers didn’t snag her bottom. That would be cruel. “GIVE MY BACK MY TOP!” She roared angrily. “I will... if you can CATCH ME!” Adjusting my stance, I took off, my speed spiritually enchanced by Sakura-sensei’s Power Rings in my bracelets. My legs blurred to Supersonic speed, the only edge I had over Lum’s flight and electricity. Speaking of electricity, she wound up and sent a bolt of electricity towards my position. Veering off to the side, I made a sharp U-Turn and my legs pumped faster than humanly possible. Lum started to rake the gravel before me, sending up showers of gravel. Sakura-sensei said this was possible. “COME ON!” I shouted over the whiz of wind, “You must have something better than that!” “BAAAAKAAAAA!” she screamed, pulling in a HUGE amount of electricity. I tenced, ready for the attack. She shot the bolt, just as I leapt. Defying all physics, I sprang off the clouts of dirt and gravel, and lunged. Lum, too tired by the blaze of electrical discharge, hit the ground, and I pinned her arms. “Heh, gotcha.” She slapped me, right after I offered her bikini top, right after I got up from straddling her. After donning the garment, she sighed and said, “You win. Good race. I see why Miss Sakura put so much faith in you.” “Thanks. You’re pretty good too....” An awkward silence was heard for a second before Lum smiled before saying, “You know, you’re not like any other boys...want to get together tonight at say, eightish?” “Eightish...” I said, smiling a warm natural smile. “Eightish sounds good.” “Bye,” she said, flying off. “Bye.” “Wow, those were the days,” I mused, closing the Yearbook. Stowing it away under the stacks of books, I checked my schedule. Lets see, nothing but tests now... A knock at the door startled me out of my reading. “Come,” I said. The door opened and there was a girl who looked almost...familiar. She had long reddish black hair, wearing a juinor high school fuku. Almond shaped eyes with crimson pupils were shown and she had a school briefcase in her hands. “Mr. Garin?” she ventured. “Yes.” I removed my glasses and rubbed my eyes. “Is there something I can do for you miss...?” “Sakura...Sakura Chelsea Redet Garin.” Blinking, my jaw must have hit the ground. “What?” I squeeked out. “Did you say... Redet?” “Redet Garin. Sakura Chelsea Redet Garin.” Just as my brain went into overdrive, the door opened again. There, was... her. Still young, green hair with a sliver of hair. She was dressed in a long dress of tiger print. She still wore THE RING on her ring finger. “Hello Shaun. It’s been a while.” “Lum.... I thought...did...oh my God...” I stood up from behind my desk and looked at the two women. “She’s, my daughter? For real? No maniacal clones?” “No. Remember? We made love before breaking up.” Lum sat down on the edge of my desk, crossing my legs. “I didn’t know but I was pregnant then.” “But...she’s at LEAST fifteen! We... it was only when we both turned eighteen when... well...it was only nine years ago!” “Oni’s grow faster than normal people,” she said. “Face it Darling, you have a daughter.” “Great, what’ll Urd, Nene and Amelia think?” “Who...oh, you found someone else.” Lum stood up and started to pace the whole of the small cramped room. “Please, Shaun, I need a favor.” Without waiting for an answer, she said, “The Oni Federation is in Turmoil and it’s dangerous for Sakura being there, with her being the legal heir. Daddy is out sick and he needs me to negociate with the Breen Empire. Dangerous things. Here on earth, she can keep out of trouble and learn from her father. Please take care of our daughter Sa-chan... please?” She tapped my chest and I shivered. “Okay.... but on one condition : you come and tell the girls what’s going on. I live in the Nekomi 52 Street Shinto Temple.” “Alright. Lets go.” <><><> “YOU HAVE WHAAAAT?!” I cringed under the triple verbal assult. Behind me, Lum blinked... “Wow, not one but three? You work fast Darling.” Nene looked on the verge of tears. “I can’t belive you have a daughter! After all we’ve been through?” Urd scowled. “If I were allowed to, I’d zap you!” “BAKA BAKA BAKA BAKA BAKA!” Amelia sobbed while trying to slap me, but I caught her arms before it happened.
