Soul of Light Part 5 Standard disclaimer applies....you know, it’s getting awfully monotimus writing this same thing over and over again...still.... Soul of Light Part 5 Twilight to Dawn Sequel to Etched in Stone Third Impact Aftermath.... “Its all gone.” Words spoken by the Princess of the Moon. Her court and everyone needed in the future were standing where Toyko used to be. A day ago, the Third Impact had ended and very few people in all the world were able to withstand the mistake human kind had made. Setsuna, the Guardian of Time was typically silent, waiting for the next step in the timeline. Toyko would undergo many changes such as the time of the Knight Sabers in Megatokyo and other such noted events. But now was the time to start rebuilding the world from Toyko and up. Tears were welling in three known martial artists eyes. Never had they cried at any physical blows they had taken, nor anything else they had suffered. But the loss of Akane, Ukyou, Akari and Shampoo were too much to bear. Their families were killed instantly in the Second Impact. Ranma soon afterwards heard that his other cousins had surivived for some wierd coincidence. The Masaki’s, the Mishima’s, the Moroboshi’s, Miss Shiranui, Keiichi, (although he was living with Goddesses could explain his survial) and his other family on both sides. Ryoga and Mousse on the other hand had lost their loved ones. Mousse with Shampoo who had rejected him until her death in the Second Impact, Ryoga who lost Akari in the Third. Ranma lost Akane and Ukyou, Ukyou being his best friend until she was killed in the Third Impact. To the other side of the Senshi stood a girl and a younger man. Asuka and Shinji. They were the last remaining children on the planet. Nothing had much importance to them save for the pain of loosing their families. Serenity looked around, tears welling up in her crystal blue eyes. “I can’t believe this happened, even after we were told about it,” she said quietly. Edmyion wrapped a arm around her shoulder. “True,” he said, “but it was meant to happen. If only humankind were not too stubborn, then this would never have happened.” A shout came from Venus who was scouting the terrain. “Minna! There’s a child in the wreckage! He’s alive!” Soon after a gang effort to clear the rubble, a young child, barely scathed was standing amongst them. His crystal blue eyes shone in the sunlight with a shock of short black hair and slightly elvin ears. He remained silent as the damage was surveyed in his young eyes. Serenity knelt down and looked at his saddened face. “How did you survive little one?” she asked gently. He did not reply as he nudged past the Princess and went over to a wall, placing his hands on its scarred surface. Mars snorted, “rude little kid, ne?” “Be nice.” Serenity chided. The child took a deep breath and concentrated. White light poured from his body, drawing startled gasps from everyone present. Rocks started to move, clicking into place on the wall on all four sides. Soon, a towering skyscraper of glass and stone rose into the air. The child smiled and turned around, purposely striding towards Hotaru. Hotaru felt the small hands touch her own equally small hands. Her purple eyes locked with his blue ones. The child blinked, and in an instant, his eyes changed to brown. Hotaru started slightly. Then he blinked again, Hotaru’s sigil flaring up with purple light, a beam of purple light flaring into the sky. Everyone stepped back as one, waiting for an ineditable explosion of power. The child blinked again and smiled as a similar sigil flared on his forehead. His was the sigil of Saturn but with a crystal moon under it. The purple light from his forehead changed to a bright white light. Ranma nudged his cousin in the side, “Usagi-chan, don’t you remember that light from a long time ago?” Usagi’s brow furrowed in thought. Long forgotten memories poured into her mind as a young girl, who amazingly looked like Tenchi’s mother Atchika, used a spell of briliant light on some things called Beast Drones. “I remember,” she whispered. The child released Hotaru’s hands and stepped back, his body starting to change. His body stretched into an teenagers body. His hair lengthed to a silver ponytail and his eyes turned blue, to green, then to purple and back to green. His clothing, ripped and torn changed to white gleaming clothes, crystal bracers forming as well as a belt and a chest plate with the crystal moon and saturn sigil on the breastplate. His back sprang gleaming white wings which he used to hover in the air. When he settled down, he smiled and spoke in a familiar baritone voice. “Hello everyone, my name is Sarrryn Excalibur.” Yaten gasped. “You...you look like me!” Sarryn laughed, “It’s something called Vanity of the Gods. Every mortal is blessed with some charecteristics of a specific god. You just look like me.” Usagi blinked, “Atchika-chan? Is that you?” Sarryn turned to her and smiled. In a burst of feathers, he changed to the familiar female all present could remember, including Tenchi who had not forgotten the adventure in Guardia. “Atchika!” everyone chorused. “What can I say? I survived, didn’t I?” “But what are you doing here?” Mars asked, “you gained all the weapons.” “True, but you must prepare. In 3524, I will return and restore the sword to a full whole. You must prepare for that time. But for now, I must go.” “Waitasecond!” Venus protested, “what about all this? What will happen now?” Atchika stopped and turned around. “The rebuilding is yours to do. But now, I can do something about the lost souls. But all the senshi will have to let me have access to their powers for this.” Silence came over the place until the Princess spoke, “we will.” “Thank you. Now, stand back, this will take a lot of power.” They all backed off while Atchika rose into the air. In a loud voice she cried out, “Star power! Power flow combine!!” Power streamed into her hands and she raised it above her head. “Now is the time of recogning! Mercury Ultima Power!!!” Aqua power flowed from the jewel on Mercury’s uniform to be added. “Venus Ultima Power!!!!” Light streamed into her hands. “Terra Ultima Power!!!” A swirl of red energy entered her spell. “Mars Ultima Power!!!!” The flame burst from Mars’ chest like a firebird. “Jupiter Ultima Power!!!!” Lightning crackled and struck the ball of power. “Saturn Ultima Power!!!!” A blast of purple energy struck the ball from the Silence Glave. “Uranus Ultima Power!!!” Wind streams entered the flow and encircled the massive power. “Neptune Ultima Power!!!” Water encircled Atchika from view. “Pluto Ultima Power!!!” The reddish ball of a Dead Scream flew into the mix. “Power beyond the twilight, flowing light in the souls of mankind, life in the earth, and the power of the dragon king! I call you forth! Power work as one!” “ULTIMAAAA!!!!” Ranma cried tears of joy as Akane lay beside him after their lovemaking. He was finally reunited with the girl he loved. Shinji was reunited with the children and his father who were totally different save for Rei’s dry wit. Atchika, the real Atchika had a wonderous reunion with Tenchi and his family, while finding out her alien heritage and what happened to Toyko Tower back when she visited it with Nobiyuki a long time ago. Yaten had a family reunion with his newly alive family. They didn’t stop crying for a long time. Akane laughed it off that Ryoga was always P-Chan and demanded a new pet pig for herself. Akari lent a baby black piglet who she named Ryoga. Lum was finally able to visit Ataru after the Oni scandal a few years back, only to mallet him for one last time and marry. Mai Shirinui was reunited with Andy and Terry Bogard after five long years. Shampoo decided on Mousse and chose him out of love, not duty. Ukyou married a totally different Konatsu, save for the quiet demeanior. Epilogue “Akane, are you sure you want to do this?” The woman in question, still youthful but aged farther than Cologne, nodded. “I have to. Its not a divorce but I need to go and train around the world.” Ranma smiled sadly. “I guess so. I trained most of my life and look where it got me.” “Baka,” she said playfully and cuffed him on the shoulder. “Go on. Besides I only have a few more years left. If I die, then you will know.” Ranma moved down and kissed his wife for over seven thousand years. Ukyou had died of old age since she had stopped the Art a long time ago. Mousse and Shampoo had restarted the new Amazon Village with new rules under their government. Shampoo had died a few years after that of a freak youma attack. Mousse married the elusive Senshi Pluto and had become more mysterious than before. Ranma broke the kiss and waved goodbye to his wife as she left though the rooftops of the crystal city known as Crystal Tokyo. Akane Saotome died fifty years later while protecting a town from space mercanaries. The town was renaimed to honor her and the Saotome/Tendo Anything Goes Martial Arts dojo prospered under Ranma’s teaching until he married Senshi Saturn. The teaching was turned to the wisest and best teacher until Ranma came back from political duites and his long training trips. The teachers name was Nabiki Saotome, a decendant of the original Nabiki and Ranma’s great grandaughter. Akari never had the training to prolonge her life so she died at an age of 90 years old. Ryoga mourned her loss but soon married Senshi Venus. He still has a hard time trying to cope with her scatterbrain attitude and her frequent misquotes.
