“General Zoll, rise and obey.” The dark samurai general stood from his kneeling position before the dark Emperor and slammed a fist to his chest. “I hear My Emperor. What is your command?” “The Rangers are down again on earth. Seek them out with the Monkey Khan Mythic Monster and destroy them.” “At once my liege.” <><><> “I LOVE FAIRS!” The five Rangers strolled down the boardwalk as the garish lights, earsplitting sounds and the voices of the vendors calling out their wares were heard. Kazia practically jumped and skipped about in glee, looking at everything in sight. She then turned and looked at the other four. “Come on you guys, lighten up! It’s PARTY TIME!” Brendan leaned over to Jetta and whispered, “Makes you wonder how she got chosen to become a Ranger, doesn’t it?” Jetta only nodded in agreement, making no vocal mummur. Farther down, Zoll materialized in a empty booth. “Perfect. Come forth Monkey Khan!” A creature leapt from his katana. He was about five feet, with a golden circlet around his forehead, a red staff in his hands. At his side he had a black nimbus and his eyes glowed an unearthly red. “Yes master Zoll?” Zoll produced a small pendant with a cute little monkey face made of jewels. “Take the Pendant of Khan and sell it to the Yellow Ranger. You will be able to copy all her moves. Soon, you will be able to copy all of the Rangers moves. Assume a tellers form.” With a spin and a flare of light, Monkey Khan became a elderly man, dressed in a Japanese sellers outfit. He even looked the part. His staff became a Rising Sun fan which he used to create a huge amount of goods within the booth. Kazia skipped along the boardwalk, looking everywhere at the goods when a call came from a shop behind her. “Young lady! You look like a girl who knows about these things.” She turned to see an elderly Japanese man in a sellers uniform. He had on display a huge amount of jewelry and cute items for sale. He smiled warmly and waved her over. “Come, come, take a look at my wares.” “Sure!” She walked over and started to pour over his stock. She looked at several items before alighting on the Monkey shaped pendant. “ooh, this is cute. What’s it’s story?” The elderly man smiled and waggled his finger mischeviously as he leaned forwards a bit. “Ah, that is the famous Pendant of Khan. It is said that whoever wears this pendant will bring good luck to the wearer.” “Good luck? I’ll take it. How much?” “Oh for you, young missy, only two dollars.” She shrugged and fished out the change. She then hung the pendant around her neck as it flashed in the light. “Thanks!” She then skipped away to join the others. The elderly man watched her leave before changing back in a spin of light. “No, thank you Yellow Ranger.” He then dissapeared in a spray of light. <><><> Power Rangers Elementals written by Shaun Garin <><><> Episode 2 : Monkey See, Monkey Do <><><> “Hey, what’s that?” Jetta asked of the girl. Kezia showed her. “It’s a cute little monkey head.” “Can I see it?” she asked. Kezia dropped the monkey head into her hands and Jetta lifted it to the light. “Cool.” Just then, the men came up, holding stuff that the girls had bought. “What’s that?” Brendan asked. “A monkey pendant.” the yellow clad girl replied. Brendan plucked the monkey pendant from Jetta’s hand and looked at it. “Coolness. Check it out.” Giving the pendant to JT, the larger teen looked at it, turning it over. “Nice, very nice.” Suddenly... BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP Kezia grabbed her cellular phone and snapped it open with a flick of her wrist. “Hello?” “Rangers to Action.” The connection then broke. Turning towards the others, Kezia said, “Action time guys.” Jordi nodded as he cast a glance around. “There’s a quiet place over there.” The five ran over towards the abandoned space and lined up. Casting a look back and forth for people and finding no one, they flipped open their cell phones and pressed in 3-3-5. In a glimmer of red, blue, green, purple and yellow light, they launched upwards into the skies of Angel Grove. As the five appeared, Jordi stepped off his teleportation padd and pushed into the Mountian Base. “Situation?” he asked in his leader voice. Shaun turned around in his antigrav chair and pushed the control stick forwards, a holographic computer screen appearing before him. “The Emperor has sent down one of his Mythic Monsters.” On the screen appeared a creature. It was a monkey with a dark staff, nimbus at its side and with a dark gold ring around his forehead. “This is Monkey Khan. A darker version of the legendary Eastern Legend. He has energy beams in his eyes, his bo extends to insane lengths and he can fly. Watch your backs this time.” “Right. Time to Morph!” “Power Rangers Elementals!” Within seconds and five transformation phrases, the Rangers stood in their technoflexmetal armor, their symbols glowing brightly. Katrina nodded and said, “May the Power Protect You.” “Right, Ranger Teleport!” The five stiffened, drawing their feet together, crossing their arms before them, clasping their left wrists where the built in transporter was housed. The five beams of light engulphed them and they transported from the base. <><><> As the Rangers materialized in the vincinity of the Park, General Zoll smiled a smile of a cat who had ate the mouse. “Rangers. So good of you to come. I belive you have not met my companion, Monkey Khan?” At a snap of his fingers, the monster soared out from the skies to hover beside the dark red samurai. “Greetings Rangers.” Jordi stepped forwards and slapped his hand into his fist. “When we get through with you, you’ll be long gone.” “I doubt it. Black Gears, come.” From the earth, seventeen black gears sprung from the ground and resolved into seventeen Black Gears, their weapon arms brandishing the hooked scimitar. Jordi took his own scimitar and it unfolded with a gleam of red energy. “Power Sabres!” The other four drew their weapons with respective glows of power. “Rangers Elementals!” “GEARS! ATTACK!” Zoll commanded as the many creatures rushed forwards, weapons ready for deadly blows. The five Rangers ran forwards, their weapons at the ready. Clashing together with several blows, Kezia parried a strike upwards, and then slashed at the middle of the Gear, shattering its power box. A Gear came at her, and made a slashing blow that would have knocked her backwards into the wall if she was there. Launching upwards, she pulled her blaster and fired while spiraling backwards. Sparks sprayed from the Gears chest as it was propelled backwards by the energy beam. Jetta pulled her own blaster and fired at an oncoming Gear, then dropped to avoid an attack from the Gears bladed weapon. She lashed out with her leg, catching it and pulling the attacker to the ground. Ducking into a roll, she came up in front of a Gear and and the blaster spoke. JT, on the other hand, had decided to rely heavily on brute force as he pulled his blaster and converted it to a full power setting. A ring of attacking forces gathered around him as he fended off hits from the Gears. Grasping the blaster with one hand, he changed settings to automatic and quickly hosed down the Monsters with a spinning rapid blaze of energy from the blaster. Meanwhile, Brendan had pulled his sabre once again and took on Zoll. Their weapons clashed together several times, the metal ringing in the sounds of battle. A parried strike from Zoll’s black katana tossed his arms upwards, long enough to allow Zoll to strike in a cross slash across his chest. The Green Ranger was sent flying backwards in a shower of sparks. “Brendan!” Kezia shouted to him as Jordi took on the dark General with his own sword. She drew her sabre and started for the battlefield when Monkey Khan appeared before her. “Going somewhere little girl?” he sneered. “You wish!” She thrust her weapon forwards, only to have it parried by the monster. A blow to the head sent her tumbling backwards. The evil monkey stabbed his pike into the ground. “Give it up. You can’t beat me that easily.” “We’ll see about that! Lightning Pistols!” Monkey Khan grinned. “Two can play that game! Lightning Pistols!” In his hands were a matched set of slim yellow pistols. Behind her helmet, she frowned. He grinned as his fingers tightened about the trigger, as hers. Twin blazes of yellow enegy from either side lanced out and knocked the Yellow Ranger backwards in an explosion of power. The other five Rangers rushed to her side. “Kezia, you alright?” Jordi asked. “Yeah I’m fine.” Monkey Khan spun the weapons around his fingers. “Not for long you aren’t.” “Break out the hardware!” Jordi announced. The other four spun about and weapons materialized within their grips. “Star Cannon!” “Ice Godslayer!” “Wind Sabre!” “Fireburst Cannons!” Brendan and JT started their attack run, weapons charging with green and blue energy. The pair leapt up into the air, their swords swinging downwards. Suddenly, they were flung backwards in a shower of sparks as Monkey Khan viciously slashed them with two copycat swords of their own. “Pathetic. He then used the green and blue energies which shot out like bursts of lightning. “Surely the Rangers can do better than that.” Jetta ignited her Star Cannon and cocked the weapon. Her targeting systems locked onto the monster twice before her finger tightened around the trigger. “Let’s rectify this little matter called not dying!” She fired the beam of energy at Monkey Khan who suddenly responded with one in kind. The energy twisted about, spiraling about each other before detonating near their feet. Jetta was thrown back into Kezia’s arms, bowling the two women over in a heap. Scrambling back up to their feet, the five backed up, forming a tight circle. “Individual weapons aren’t even scratching him,” Brendan commented, nursing his aching chest where the weapon had struck him. “Agreed. I’ll distract him while you four teleport back to the Mountian Base.” Jordi raised his Fireburst Cannons. His targeting systems in his helmet locked on three times. He didn’t want to miss. “GO!” The other four teleported away and for a split second, it was just him and the monster. “Bye.” The energy built and a angry red corona of flame surged forwards. To his surprise, Monkey Khan did not retalliate with a weapon of his own as he feebly tried to block it with a spin of his staff. The power of the weapon knocked him backwards into the park, carving a deep trench. Shakily, it got up and spat a bit. “Next time you won’t live long enough to fire that weapon!” It teleported away in a burst of golden fire that shaped a monkey face for a second. Jordi lowered his Cannons in amazement. He then lifted his communicator and said, “Shaun, there’s something up. I’ll explain when I get back.” Then, stowing his weapons away, he transported away. <><><> “What went wrong General Zoll?” Emperor Darksol asked, his voice a dangerous low pitch. “My liege....it seems that the Red Ranger has not yet touched the Monkey Pendant. Monkey Khan is unable to mimic his moves as of yet.” “Pacience my General. In time, he will be defeated.” “Thank you my liege.” As General Zoll turned around, Anatha was there to meet him. “Seems like your little copycat couldn’t beat the real deal.” “That is none of your concern Anatha,” he spat, turning his back on her. “But it is,” she said, eyebrows narrowing. “Your defeat at the hands of the Power Rangers has cost us a Growth Pills and a monster, not to mention twenty seven Black Gears. Face it, your methods are too unreliable.” “Shut up!” he snarled angrily. “I will defeat those young children and then, when we find the Five Star Crystals, Emperor Darksol will regain his full power once again. And on that day...” he clenched his fist and stalked away. <><><> “Hmmm....” “He just shrugged off our most powerful attacks!” Jetta exclaimed. “Hmmm....” “What’s worse is that he copied our attacks as well,” Brendan added. “Hmmm....” “Added to his already powerful fighting ability, it’s hard to scratch him,” JT interjected. “Hmmm....” “And Jordi was the only one who could scratch him,” Kezia said. “Hmmm....” “Shaun, is that the only thing you can say?” Jordi asked, a bit annoyed at the elder man’s act. “Hmmm....perhaps I can do something...” He turned back to his computer and started to manipulate the controls. “From what I can tell, he either memorized records or has an innate copycat ability. Perhaps he has a focus on one of you somehow.” “A focus?” Jetta asked. “A focus is a device that will enable someone with the correct abilities to mimic the person wearing it,” Katrina explained. “Your morphers are a type of focus, as with the communicators and pagers. It will take a while to locate it on each of you. But when he appears next, morph and take him on. I will be done by the time the next battle will take place.” “You’d better get back home and get some rest,” Katrina seconded. The five nodded in agreement and pressed in the combonation to transport on their cellular phones. With five beams of energy, they dissapeared from view. <><><> “I can’t believe we failed in beating Monkey Khan.” Kezia said, lazily stirring her smoothie. “I guess we’re not that great of a team.” “What are you talking about, we’re a GREAT team!” Jetta snapped, taking a long drink from her own smoothie. “If it wasn’t for all the training our mentors have given us, then we wouldn’t have beaten those Gears in the first battle.” JT looked up from a basket of fries he was working on. “And now, we’re getting better and better. It’s not our fault that Monkey Khan can mimic our moves.” Jordi’s eyebrows were knotted together in thought as he slowly spoke. “The Monster...I know I’ve seen the face before....but where?” Just then, a girl came running into the room. “There’s monsters in the parking lot!” Ernie sighed and pressed the button, raising an alarm. “Everyone down to the Monster Shelter please.” Brendan jumped to his feet, as with the other five. “Time to get to work.” “But it’s too crowded to morph,” Kezia said. “We’ll take them on without morphing. I think we can do it.” “Right. Lets go!” The five of them dashed out into the parking lot to encounter General Gear with a battallion of Gears. “There you are Rangers. And look, there’s too many people around to morph.” It was true, several people were still running away from the meanacing Gears who brandished their black weapons at them. Jordi stepped up, cracking his knuckles. “We can take out your Gears without any trouble. Lets go!” The five rushed into the battle, met by the wave of Gears. Double teaming Kezia, she blocked a weapon swing, and grasped the weapon, drawing it into knee range. The Gear buckled painfully for a second as her knee came into contact with its middle, and then fell to the ground, twitching as she slammed a elbow into its neck. Kicking out with her right leg, she hit one in the solarplexus, followed up by a vicious backhand and left cross. Two came up to grab her from behind but Jordi’s flying double split kick caught them in the face. “Thanks,” she said. “No problem.” He then delivered three strikes to the chest and face of the first Gear while Kezia flipped the second over her shoulder, holding the neck. She added a quick stomp before turning towards the other on coming Gears. Executing a quick forward jump front kick, Jetta knocked one in the stomach, ducked a wild swing from another. She tripped the pair as two siezed her arms. She pulled them together, their heads crashing together with an audible crack while releasing them, letting the two Gears crash to the ground with an audible thud. “Toast.” Brendan grasped a car hood and spun around, pushing up on his hands, spinning in a sommersault, kicking a couple in the face. He then spun about, driving a fist into a gut, shattering the power pack. He then punched twice, pushing the attacker backwards into its companions. JT used his brute strength to hammer both fists into one of its necks, and then spun in a fancy cross step before kicking one across the face, sending it spinning into the ground. “Ha, suck that.” Soon, the fight turned as Monkey Khan appeared, brandishing its staff. “Hello Rangers!” he shouted. Just then, their cells beeped and a stereo speaker sounded. “I know you guys are busy but get back here now.” “This isn’t over Monkey Khan!” Jordi shouted, pressing in the code to transport. Then, the five beams of light engulphed them and they soared off into the skies. <><><> “Found it.” Shaun picked up a blaster and said, “Kezia, can I have that Pendant you’re wearing?” Looking confused for a second, she pulled it off her neck and laid it on the ground. Shaun aimed and pulled the trigger, blasting it into scrap. The energies flared for a second before siphoning back into their bodies. “There, that should do it. He may know your moves but I have a solution : this time, change up attacks and weapons. That should allow you to move in and destroy him with the new weapon I am creating for you.” A haunted look came upon Kezia’s face as her lips moved without sound. “I was being used?” she whispered. “It happens,” Shaun said, his fist clenching till the knuckles turned white. “But no matter. Go home and get some rest. Tommorow, he mose certanily will be back. The five nodded and strode out onto the transport chamber. Then, the familiar crackling sound of Ranger Teleportation was heard with a snap, then they were gone. <><><> Kezia sat down heavily on a chair, her eyes watching nothing before her. She sat there, unspeaking, something weighing heavily on her mind. Just then, the door to her room opened revealing her mother. Karen Noval was a slender, willowy woman with long black hair and brown eyes, matching her daughter, or the other way around. She took in the slightly haunted look of her daughter and asked, “What’s the matter? Supper is ready and you haven’t come down yet.” “Uh? Oh, nothing mom,” she replied in a soft voice. “I think I’ll just go to bed now.” Her mother sighed and closed the door with an audible click. <><><> “I’m worried about Kezia,” Katrina’s voice echoed in the dark room. The light brown haired girl turned to her cousin who lay in a seperate bed. “You think she’ll be alright?” A derisive snort came from the bed. “Kezia? Miss Cheery Sunshine? I know her, nothing short of the end of the world’ll shake her.” The Eltarian girl frowned at the other. “That’s not true. There are some things that will shake her, it’s just that you won’t admit it.” With a heave and a heavy sigh, the other rolled over and looked at her. “What am I supposed to say to her? That, ‘oh, sorry, even though we’re the nephew and niece of Zordon of Eltare, the White Falcon Morphin Master, that we know everything that’s going to happen, and you’re going to be a pawn of evil at times?’ Come on Katrina, that’s not going to happen!” “Don’t take that tone of voice,” she snapped back at the brown haired Eltarian male. “If you didn’t want to come in the first place, then why DID you come at all?” Shaun didn’t reply as he turned over onto his back and looked up at the celing. Then, after a long while, he answered, “Because you can’t do it all by yourself.” “And I suppose you can?” She returned. “...No...I can’t...” Shaun then turned to look at her, and with the deepest of emotional sympathy, replied, “I think she needs some help.” Just then, the communicators rang and a voice sounded in the bedroom. “Hello? Is anyone still awake?” Katrina reached over and turned on the lamp. Then, she pushed the button to answer. “This is Katrina. Something bothering you Kezia?” A pregnant pause. “I suppose so, yes. Can I transport in?” Shaun reached over to his glasses and placed them on his face. Then, he pressed a couple of buttons. “We’ll bring you in to the living room now. Hang tight.” With a glare of yellow energy, accompanied by the slight whine of teleportation, Kezia appeared in a yellow robe, her expression bleary and haunted. Katrina entered the room and was immediately at her side. “What’s wrong?” She sniffed a bit. “Nightmare. I woke up screaming.” “Can you tell me what you were dreaming about?” The older woman asked. “It was the fight again. I was facing off against Monkey Khan, my weapons in hand. He then pulled his. The beams of light, struck over and over, then, suddenly, the weapons turned into snakes, coiling around me, the mocking laughter growing stronger and stronger and...” She stopped, unable to continue, tears starting to well in her eyes. Shaun cast a concerned look at his companion. “I think there’s someone you should meet Kezia to talk to. I know her well, due to a incident a while ago.” It was clear from his expression that he didn’t want to speak much about it. “Her name is Dr. Lita Kino. She’s a Psychiatrist.” “A shrink? I’m not crazy!” Kezia protested. “She’s more of a friend to talk to,” Katrina soothed. “Don’t worry, she’s a good woman to talk to.” Kezia pursed her lips in thought before saying, “Right, sure. I’ll just tell her that ‘Doc, I’m a Power Ranger, my behind was just kicked by a giant mythological monkey with a staff that can grow to the size of a flagpole, and used me to serve our rear ends on a platter?’ Nice.” Shaun sighed. “Nevertheless, Ranger teams in the past HAVE needed psychological treatment. It’s just that we have to keep our ID’s a secret, rather than revealing them in the open. She’ll listen, trust me.” “Alright, I’ll go. But I won’t enjoy it.” A wry grin came up on Shaun’s face. “A trip to a shrink is never enjoyable.” <><><> Dr. Lita Kino sighed and popped the nose of the bust of Freud. A bookshelf opened up to allow entrance to a small wall refrigerator. Reaching in, she pulled a Pepsi and popped the top. Just then, her office buzzer rang and the voice of Serena Kyle, her secretary sounded. “Lita, there’s a girl to see you. Say’s her name is Kezia Noval.” “Send her in.” The door opened up to reveal Kezia who shambled in, her face and body expressions frazzled, as if there was something gnawing on her mind. She noted, with a bit of wonderment, that she was dressed in a yellow tank top and jean shorts, and carried a Cellular and a Pager. Must be slightly wealthy. But what’s bothering her anyways? The girl sat down before her desk and she said, “Dr. Kino? I was sent here by Shaun Erin. He said he knew you?” A small smile ran over the lovely psychiatrist’s face. “All too well.” “Well, I was hoping that you could help me. He said I could tell you this secret since teams in the past sometimes needed counsil.” “Teams?” Lita’s train of thought was derailed at that word. She was sent a profile of the girl before her. She wasn’t on any teams that she knew...unless.... Kezia pulled out the Cellular and pressed in a FOUR digit number. Nothing on earth responded to four digits. “Hello, Mountain Base? You came transport in.” In a flash of white light, Shaun and another girl stood before her. Lita jumped up in shock. “What in the world? Speak up Shaun before I give you a crash course in Aikido!” A smile played over his face. “I am Shaun of Eltare, and this is my cousin, Katrina of Eltare. We’re aliens from Eltare, following in our Uncle’s footsteps to defend earth from invasion. Kezia is a member of the newest fighting force on the face of the earth : The Power Ranger Elementals.” “I see. And what’s happened to her that she feels compelled to speak to me?” Katrina spoke this time. “She was used by a monster to copy all the Power Rangers moves. Normally, this would happen later, but this time, it was not forseen that the forces of Evil would use this tactic which both doubles as Psychological and Physically damaging. We were hoping that you could speak to her in private for a bit.” “Of course.” “Then, we bid you farewell for now Lita,” Shaun said, bowing. Then, the pair of them dissapeared. After the unexpected light show, Lita blinked a couple of times before turning to her charge. “Well now, where to begin?” <><><> “General Zoll. Is Monkey Khan fully repowered from the last battle?” “Yes my liege,” he said, saluting him. “It is a matter of time before we will defeat the Power Rangers and take Earth’s energy for our own!” “Excellent. Proceed with the plan.” Zoll turned and bellowed, “Gears, come forth!” From the depths of the castle, seventeen black gears appeared in a rush of spinning black discs. “Go,” he commanded, “seek out the Power Rangers, and destroy them!” The Gears leapt and coalessed into spinning black discs once again. Then, they sped down to earth. <><><> “It’s too quiet,” Jordi said, looking around the open beach of the Surf Spot. “Very quiet.” “You think something’s going ta happen?” JT asked of the leader of the Power Rangers. “Most definately. They’re waiting, then then BOOM! Right atop our heads!” In responce to Jordi’s proclamation, the seventeen Black Gears appeared from the skies and expanded on the beach. People started to run everywhere as the Gears headed for the Rangers. “Let’s do it.” Jordi, the tallest of the group, turned into a venerable whirlwind of kicks and punches, tearing through his Gear opponents like tissue paper. Brendan and Jetta had resorted to another style, Brendan having grasped a steel pipe and wielding it like his sword, while Jetta resorted to plain and dirty street fighting techniques. JT, on the other hand, used footballish styles, plowing through groups of Gears, unnoticing the sharp weapons they bore. He picked on up by the neck and hurled it into the Gears that were sneaking up on his backside. The Gears went down with an audible crash. The Black Gears were centuries of foot soldiers, capable of destroying and overrunning worlds with their savage weaponry and personalities. Coupled with programs of several fighting styles, they were a terror among the stars when the Emperor still had a stranglehold on much of the known Galaxy. They didn’t stand a chance. Within several minutes, the Gears were all turned into dust, their bodies crumbling like so much sand in the wind. A dry clapping was heard from behind them, as they whirled around to see Monkey Khan, casually leaning against the side of the building. “Very impressive Rangers,” he commented, lazily spinning his staff in one hand. “But hardly worth my time. For you see, you’re one short. The same one that allowed me to copy your moves. It hardly seems fair that one so weak could destroy me, much less damage.” “You’re wrong Khan,” Jordi said, levelling a finger at him. “We will defeat you.” “Then come and get some,” he said, energy crackling around his fingers. “Let’s do it guys!” In a swift motion, the four thrust up their hands and slammed them together. “Power Rangers Elementals!” Within seconds, the four spandex clad heros valliantly thrust into the battle that soon esclated into a fevered pitch. <><><> “Look deep inside you Kezia,” Lita said. “What is your goal in life?” “To become the best.” “And how will you acomplish that?” A pause. “To defend this earth from those who threaten it.” Lita smiled before snapping her fingers. At once, Kezia’s eyes snapped open to focus on the green clad doctor. “How do you feel?” she asked. “Great.” A smile ran over her face before taking the hand that was offered to her. She sat up and adjusted her top. “I really feel a lot better now!” “That’s great then.” Just then, her cellular rang and Kezia snatched it up from the stand beside her. “Keiza, hello?” “Kezia, Monkey Khan has reappeared on the beach. You must morph and transport there at once.” “On my way.” She snapped her cell shut and said, “We’d better continue this later.” “Are you sure you’re alright girl?” Lita questioned. “It’s just been one session.” A determined look set itself upon the girls face. “My friends are out there, and they need my help.” “Then you’d better get going.” “Thanks. Power Rangers Elementals!” <><><> Jordi grunted with the effort of keeping the Staff from crushing his windpipe. Around him, the other Rangers were still trying to stand up but none had the strength, despite the rapid healing. Monkey Khan grinned maliciously as he forced the staff downwards. “How does it feel Red Ranger? Where’s your team now?” Suddenly, a lazer blast slammed into the small of its back, causing the monster to howl in pain. Jordi took advantage of the situation and flipped it over his head, sending the monster tumbling down the hill. Kezia lowered her Blaster and grinned underneath her helmet. “Hope I didn’t come at the wrong time!” she said cheerfully. “Nope, just the right time.” “YOU!” Khan shouted, grasping his staff. “I’ll destroy you first! Power Pole Extend!” Kezia jumped the pole that lanced forwards and slammed into a wall, burying its end in the solid concrete. Then, in a surprising move, ran down the end and leapt, plowing into Khan’s face with a leaping kick. Khan released the staff and swiped at her, only to have her block it. Then, she punched twice into his chesplate, cracking it as she landed blow after powerful blow into its chest. A vicious uppercut knocked it into the air where she pulled her Blaster and snapped off five shots that juggled it in the air before landing with a heavy thud. By now, the rest of the Rangers had gotten back on their feet and rushed to her side. “You feeling better girl?” Jetta asked. “Never better. Lets finish this.” The monster struggled to get to his feet before a voice sounded in their helmets. “Rangers, I have completed a new weapon. Call upon the Thunder Cannon. With this, you will be able to defeat the monster.” “Right, you heard him. Thunder Cannon now!” In a flash of energy, the tremendous Thunder Cannon appeared, cradled in the five’s arms. Each one of them grasped a handle. “Red!” “Blue!” “Green!” “Yellow!” “Purple!” “You can’t do this!” Khan cried out. “FIRE!” came a chorused harmony of voices. The weapons built up a tremendous whine of power before the gigantic beam of energy blazed forwards with a scream of power. The beam struck the monster, and then, with a last shout of anger, exploded into nothing as the beam passed through. “YEAH! ALRIGHT!” The Rangers shared high fives and slaps on the back before Jetta cast a worried glance over at the girl who looked towards the horizon. “You really okay girl?” she asked. Kezia turned to her, the sunlight gleaming off her helmet. “Yeah, I’m okay.” <><><> The door opened with an audible groan as a dark haired head peeked inside. “Dr. Kino?” Lita looked up and smiled a bit. “Kezia, come on in.” Kezia slipped inside and closed the door behind her. “Doc, I’d just like to say...” but she was cut off by a wave of Lita’s hand. “First off, call me Lita.” “Lita then,” she said. “Lita, I’d just like to say how greatful I am for your help. Without you, I wouldn’t have the strength to go and defeat that monster today.” Lita crossed the room and clasped her face in her hands. “Kezia, let me tell you something. If anything bothers you, just come see me. I’ll always be here to listen.” Kezia smiled and hugged the taller woman for a bit before saying, “I have something for you.” Unslinging her backpack, she pulled out a giftwrapped box, all done in yellow with a green bow. “Open it.” Lita undid the ribbon and opened the box. There, nestled inside the box was a green and white cellular phone with matching pager. She looked up and asked, “What’s this for?” “It was Shaun’s idea. Since you’re now the Rangers Psychiatrist, then he decided to give you a more simplified version of our Power Cells and Power Pagers. The green button is for teleporting and you just press the red one for communications.” Lita set the box down and withdrew the Pager. “And this?” “Well, that’s if we need to contact you somewhere else...and he mentioned something else as well...I forget.” Kezia then beamed a warm smile as she said, “Well, I gotta go. See you later Lita!” “Bye Kezia!” As she watched her go, Lita looked down at the pager and cell and smiled a bit. As far as watching pacients come and go, she was the most interesting she had in a long time.
